A Fond Farewell to the PEI Youth Talent Program

Since 1991, the PEI Youth Talent Competition program has lit up Island fairs, festivals and exhibitions with the singing, dancing and magical talents of young Islanders. However, after years of declining participation and volunteer challenges, the Prince Edward Island Association of Exhibitions has made the heartfelt decision to retire the program in 2026.

To the Tingleys—who gave 18 summers of love and leadership—you are the heartbeat of this legacy. Thank you for everything.

The program coordinators are deeply grateful for every parent, event committee, judge, and volunteer who helped lift these young performers up. To everyone who has sang, danced, played, acted, cheered, volunteered, or simply sat in the audience and smiled — thank you. You helped create memories that will last a lifetime.
